You Could Save Me
You could save me,
You could break this dizzying, hypnotic spell.
You see, it's like my brain is self-sabotaging itself,
And every time I realize I'm starting to excel,
I look upwards, high at this monstrous hill,
And then I incessantly question my ability to accel.
I need to stop repeating myself.
I said, "I need to stop repeating myself."
And you could save me, but I haven't the nerve to tell.
I just need to feel the warmth of compassionate mercy,
Something vibrant to placate these villainous voices inside me
Maddeningly whispering the phrase, "you're not worthy."
I silently suffer at the imaginary hands of my own beliefs,
Petrified by any

What's on my mind?
A million lives I'll never find.
Places long forgotten;
Spaces in between moments remembered.
What do I contemplate?
A thousand words I'll never say.
Apologies and confessions
Left to the cutting room floor of conversation.
What do I believe?
A hundred reasons for being.
Love and harmony,
And beauty yet to be seen.
What do I think?
Ten different thoughts bombarding my mind.
This choice or that;
A silent cacophony of the undefined.
What do I want?
One thing unspoken,
A consciousness unbroken;
Unrelenting in pursuit of life's meanings.
What's on my mind?
"I'm doing fine..."

Raindrops On My Rooftop
Raindrops on my rooftop
Competing with my tears, stopYou're too cold to soothe a soul
And no comfort fills this hole
Your dreary grays
Only serve to darken my day
Raindrops on my rooftop
You don't compare, please stopI'm already bitter
You don't make it better
Let the sun come 'round
And push away your clouds
Raindrops on my rooftop
There used to be a time, now stopI find no pleasure in your noise
No reminders of your joy
My memories of you are soured
I've no need for your showers
Raindrops on my rooftop
You're silent now, don't stopMisery loves company
And for now it's just me
I was wrong to forget your song
This time I'll sing along

She asked me what I wanted to know
And in the moment I froze.
Choked on the thoughts in the formation of words.
What do I want to know?
Where do I begin?
I want to know where you got your start,
The little boys who broke your heart.
I want to know the passion that drives you
Your secrets, hopes, the feelings that move you
I want to know your favorite foods
The song for each particular mood
I want to know the sounds in your voice
The change in tone, pitch, and word choice
I want to know the fire in your soul
The fears and tears that you hold
I want to know what makes you scream
What drives you crazy, your definition of obscene
I want to kn

Creative Freedom (Thank You)
I'm not much an artist, just inspired
A creative soul imparted with desire to express
My recognition, appreciation, admiration, and adoration of earth's renditions;
Melodies and imagery, poetry and symmetry, love and harmony.
So blessed be to the artists
Those with the passion and power to harness
creative freedom across a vast range of medium
Render, sketch, scribble, strum, and sing;
Let your spirit's voice ring.
Embrace your freedom to create and continue to elate
You make this world a better place.
